Differentiated Instruction: An Informative Overview Differentiated instruction is a pedagogical approach that recognizes and addresses the diverse learning needs, backgrounds, readiness levels, and interests of students within a classroom. Rather than implementing a “one size fits all” model, differentiated instruction tailors teaching strategies, curricular content, activities, and assessments to suit individual learner profiles. At its core, this method is grounded in the understanding that students learn at different paces, come from varying backgrounds, and possess unique strengths and weaknesses. Hence, differentiation aims to maximize learning growth for all students, whether they need additional support or accelerated challenges.
