Workshop o používání digitálních nástrojů ve výuce: Jak integrovat technologie do každodenního vzdělávání – učitelé se dozví, jak efektivně využívat online nástroje a aplikace k podpoře interaktivní výuky a zapojení studentů.

Workshop on the Use of Digital Tools in Teaching: Integrating Technology into Everyday Education

In March 2026, a specialized workshop focused on the integration of digital tools into everyday teaching took place at our school. The event was designed for teachers of both technical and general subjects who are interested in making their classes more interactive and engaging through the use of modern technologies. The goal of the workshop was to support educators in the effective application of online tools and applications, familiarize them with trends in digital education, and provide practical examples of their use directly in teaching practice.

During the workshop, participants first discussed the current state of digital technology within the school curriculum and shared experiences from their own teaching. In the introductory theoretical part, teachers were introduced to several categories of digital tools: interactive platforms for testing and quizzes (such as Kahoot! or Quizizz), collaborative document and presentation creation (using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), online communication systems for teacher-student interaction (e.g. MS Teams, Slack), and special educational applications intended for specific subjects.

A significant part of the workshop consisted of practical demonstrations, where educators could try creating their own short tests or interactive assignments designed for immediate use in lessons. Attention was paid to methods for increasing student engagement — for example, using live polls, cloud-based group work, or interactive whiteboards. Teachers also learned basic rules for working with student data security and safe movement in the online environment, which is an essential aspect of digital education.

The workshop organizers emphasized that the meaningful use of digital technologies should primarily aim to enrich teaching, simplify the management of study materials, and enable more individualized work with students. Workshop instructors highlighted specific examples where digital tools increase motivation and cooperation among students, help to monitor their progress continuously, and provide new ways to present or discuss subject matter.

Participants positively evaluated the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues from other subjects and test digital tools under supervision. The workshop brought practical inspiration and contributed to the development of digital competence among teaching staff. In the coming months, the school plans to continue with the gradual integration of chosen digital tools into regular teaching and provide follow-up support for educators to ensure smooth adoption in everyday lessons.

The workshop is part of a wider effort to prepare students for a labor market and daily life increasingly influenced by new technologies. By supporting digital skills development among both teachers and students, the school aims to modernize learning and support innovative forms of education. The experience from this event will help further improve the quality and attractiveness of lessons for all involved.

We would like to thank the organization team led by Mgr. Anna Peterson for their excellent coordination and willingness to devote time to the professional growth of our teaching staff. We also appreciate the contributions of teachers who actively participated and shared their practical insights. We are confident that expanding digital literacy among educators will become a key part of modern education at our school.
