The flipped classroom is an innovative pedagogical model that reverses the traditional learning environment by delivering instructional content, often online and outside of the classroom, while moving activities, including those that may have traditionally been considered homework, into the classroom. Instead of lecturing during class time, instructors provide their lectures as videos, readings, or other media for students to engage with at their own pace before coming to class. This shift allows class sessions to focus on collaborative, hands-on activities, problem-solving, discussions, and higher-order thinking tasks, helping students to actively apply and deepen their understanding of the material. One of the core benefits of the flipped classroom model is that it fosters a student-centered learning environment. By engaging with lectures independently, students have the opportunity to learn at their own speed, pausing and reviewing material as needed.
