Blended Learning

Blended learning, often referred to as hybrid learning, is an educational approach that combines traditional face-to-face classroom instruction with online learning experiences. This instructional model integrates the best attributes of both in-person and digital education, enabling greater flexibility and personalizing the learning process. Typically, students in a blended learning environment attend classroom sessions where they engage in direct interaction with instructors and peers, while also accessing digital content, resources, and assignments through online platforms. This combination allows for various learning modalities, catering to diverse student needs and learning preferences.

Scientific studies highlight several pedagogical benefits of blended learning. By leveraging technology, instructors can incorporate multimedia materials, interactive simulations, and adaptive learning tools, which have been shown to increase engagement and improve conceptual understanding. Moreover, the online component of blended learning promotes self-paced study, enabling students to review material as needed or advance at an accelerated pace.
