Pojem: STEM

The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These four fields encompass a broad range of academic disciplines and professional practices that are fundamental to innovation, economic development, and societal advancement in the modern world. The STEM framework is designed to promote an integrated approach to learning and problem-solving, where concepts from science and mathematics are applied, through technology and engineering, to address complex real-world issues. This multidisciplinary focus not only enhances students’ critical thinking and analytical skills but also encourages creative solutions that are essential for progress in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

One of the defining characteristics of STEM education is its emphasis on inquiry-based learning and the scientific method. Students are encouraged to ask questions, form hypotheses, conduct experiments, and analyze data, mirroring the processes used by professional scientists and engineers.
