Flipped Classroom Model

The flipped classroom model is an innovative pedagogical approach that reverses the traditional structure of classroom instruction and homework. In a conventional classroom, instructors deliver lectures during class time, and students apply their knowledge or practice skills independently through homework assignments. In the flipped classroom, however, foundational content such as lectures, readings, or instructional videos is presented to students outside of the classroom, typically as homework. This shift allows class time to be repurposed for collaborative learning activities, deeper analysis, discussion, problem-solving, or projects that reinforce the material and promote higher-order cognitive engagement. This model relies heavily on technology, particularly for delivering content outside the classroom. Educators often create or curate video lectures, podcasts, or interactive modules that students can access at their own pace.
